I’m so glad you are here!
This is a safe space for you to explore who you truly are and who you might want to become. Society, family, and friends all have a way of shaping us and forcing us to behave in specific ways. We can wake up one day and realize our life is just one big performance.
Oftentimes, those learned “shoulds” are not helpful or aligned with our true selves. This is a space where you can unpack those limiting beliefs and deal with any internalized shame you might have acquired along the way.
As both an Associate California-licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) and a certified Life Coach, I offer a wide array of support and tools to collaborate with you. Whether you are looking to level up in life or do some serious healing on difficult life situations, I always focus on your humanity and your strengths and bring lots of love and safety to our space.
Please note, I offer two distinctly separate services—therapy and coaching. Please read below or visit each page to determine which service is right for you. You must be a CA resident in order to receive therapy services from me. As an AMFT I am currently being supervised by Shiva Howell, LMFT 129994.
What is the difference between therapy and coaching?
Therapy
If your primary reason for seeking support is to manage mental health symptoms or a diagnosable concern that is having a significant impact on your ability to function, therapy is probably right for you. Issues such as depression, anxiety, healing from trauma, personality disorders, relationship/family conflict, or managing any number of diagnosable conditions can all be supported and healed through therapy.
You must be a California resident to work with me as your therapist.
Coaching
If you are seeking support to achieve a specific short-term goal or are trying to change a specific behavior/habit/mindset, coaching could be very beneficial for you. Areas of work that often yield results with a coach include: changing jobs or improving at work, dating, identity exploration, healthy habits, developing passion or purpose, and exploring untapped skills. I provide this service virtually, accesisble to anyone around the world.
My Specialties
The primary focus of all of my work is to support the healing of members of the LGBTQ+ community. Our community has a specific set of challenges that many of us face in our adult lives, which comes from years of living in the closet. That experience teaches us that we need to change ourselves and create an outer image for others to be acceptable and worthy of love. Other areas of focus include:
Recovering from and healing previous trauma
Recovering from and managing addiction
Emotional regulation and distress tolerance
Managing anxiety and depression
Addressing internalized homophobia and toxic masculinity
Turning neurodivergence into a superpower
Navigating non-monogamy, polyamory, and other alternatives to monogamous relationships
Somatic Experiencing
Shame around sex and sexual exploration.
